Last summer, a new trend in women’s swimwear began to emerge. Skimpy, dare-to-bare, cut-away suits and bikinis were still a popular choice, but the fashion press was keen to highlight that a sportier, functional aesthetic can also look fabulous – in or out of the water. Vogue magazine pinpointed women’s swim shorts as the piece to shop if you want to update and enhance your existing beach kit, arguing that a lightweight and moisture-wicking pair of shorts is essential when the temperature peaks. It seems that teaming a pair of boardies with an over-sized shirt is the ultimate in summery and effortless dress-down dressing. We couldn’t agree more!
